Classes for Kids

Currently I offer kids’ classes on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 9-11, but not every week, so check the calendar. Classes are either no-sew or hand-sew and they are suitable for children ages 3 and older. I require an adult to attend with 3 and 4 year olds and I limit the classes to 8 children. I provide lite snacks.

Classes for Adults

Classes for adults are rolling out soon, so check the calendar. The offerings range across hand-sewing to machine sewing, and topics cover garment alterations, mending, crocheting, knitting, fiber dying, and so on. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Individual Instruction

I offer one-on-one lessons at $50/hour for adults or children for machine instruction either on one of my sewing machines, or on your personal machine. Details and lessons are individualized on a case-by-case basis.

Stitch 'N Bitch

The first Monday of the month from 6p - 8p I open the shop to creatives to bring a project or just hangout and chat. I offer lite snacks and beverages, as well as use of tools and machines. Depending on the group, we may watch a show, listen to music, or whatever. No two sessions have been the same. Pre-registering is crucial as I limit the group to 5 people (not including me) and the cost is $5.

Demos

As part of Gunnison’s Creative District, I participate in the monthly Art Walk on the first Friday of the month from 6p to 8p. During the warmer months, I host FREE outdoor demonstrations related to fibers and upcycling. I also have class flyers posted and my retail space is open for commerce.
